about

The Three Ravens is the eponymous debut "haunted mixtape" from a new project that bring together the heady beats and bleeps of The Slow Engineer, the modular flare of Ericius Rustling and the arcane synth choir of Everyday Dust.

The project was initiated by The Slow Engineer who experimented with sampling sounds from Everyday Dust's soundtracks and chopping and stretching them to fit over his eldritch electronica.

It was an exciting sound but ED wanted to replace all the samples with new parts in favour of an album project. Whilst he set about writing new parts friend and fellow artist Ericius Rustling was brought onboard to weave her modular magic. She suggested The Three Ravens - a medieval folk song depicting a battle scene - as an interesting stimulus to develop the music. This took the album into folk horror direction that we all approved of.

Despite the unusual process with which this album was created we feel it is a great meeting of minds and we hope you enjoy it.
